How to Update a Recipient’s Phone Number After Sending a Document
If you’ve already sent a document for signing and need to update a recipient’s phone number, you can do this directly within the Hutly platform without restarting the document.
Update a phone number

Go to the Sign section from the left-hand menu

Locate and open the document you want to update

On the right-hand side, click the three dots (•••) next to “Document pending”

Select Edit

In the editing view, go to the Recipients panel

Update the phone number (or email address if needed)

Click Resend Document
Sending the updated document
After clicking Resend Document:
• A prompt will appear allowing you to choose which recipients to notify
• Select the relevant recipient(s)
• Click Send Reminder
The updated details will be used, and the recipient will receive the document again.
Important notes
• You do not need to recreate the document
• Any completed signatures will remain intact
• Only the selected recipients will be notified again
Common use case
If a tenant or client provides an incorrect phone number after the document has been sent, you can quickly update it using the steps above and resend the document without disrupting the signing process.
