Getting started with BuddyBee

This guide provides a high-level overview of the main areas in the BuddyBee system so you can quickly understand how it all fits together. From chatting with the agent to managing your team, settings, and subscriptions, each section below introduces the essentials.

Chat

Chat is where most of your interaction with BuddyBee happens.

  • Messaging Dialogue: This is your conversation thread with the agent. You can ask questions, provide context, and review responses here.

  • Watch Section: This is where you can observe BuddyBee as it performs tasks on your behalf. Watching a task run helps your understand each step the agent is taking, gvien you confidence that the workflow is operating correctly.

  • Build Section: Here you design workflows. Workflows let BuddyBee complete multi-step processes automatically, combining actions such as logging in, filling forms, or retrieving data.

  • Run Section: Once a workflow is built, you can run it from this section to see it in action.

Team Members

Team Members allows you to bring your colleagues into BuddyBee and set the right permissions.

  • Inviting New Members: Add team members by sending them an invitation via email.

  • Roles and Permissions: Assign the correct access level. Owners have full rights, Admins can manage most areas, and Members have limited access.

  • Managing Access: Change or revoke permissions if responsibilities shift.

Platforms

Platforms are the systems BuddyBee can connect to in order to run tasks on your behalf.

  • Adding a Platform: Enter your login credentials or API keys so BuddyBee can access the platform securely.

  • Credential Storage: Credentials are stored centrally, so workflows can run without you needing to log in each time.

  • Using Platforms in Workflows: Once added, platforms can be included in workflows so BuddyBee can perform actions like submitting forms, retrieving data, or sending messages.

  • Managing Integrations: Update or remove platform connections if credentials change or if a platform is no longer in use.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions allow you to manage your organisation’s plan and billing.

  • Current Plan: View your active plan, including the monthly allowance (for example, number of tokens per month) and subscription status.

  • Billing Cycle: See the next billing date so you know when your subscription will renew.

  • Manage Billing: Open the billing portal to update your payment method, change subscription details, or cancel if required.

  • Billing Portal: In the billing portal you can review payment information, update billing contact details, and access invoice history.

Credits

Credits are the unit of usage in BuddyBee, helping you manage how much work the system can do for you.

  • Balance: See how many credits are currently available to you.

  • Top-Ups: If you’re running low, purchase additional credits to keep your workflows running smoothly.
