Adding Platforms
Adding platforms in BuddyBee makes it easy for your agents to log in quickly and securely without needing to manage credentials one by one. Once a platform is set up, BuddyBee takes care of logins, MFA prompts, and secret keys so access feels seamless across your team.
This guide will walk you through adding a new platform, setting up credentials, and making sure everything works smoothly.
Why this setup is needed
Logging into external platforms can create barriers — especially when MFA or unique credentials are required. By connecting the platform directly in BuddyBee, you reduce repetitive logins, cut down on errors, and centralise credential management for better security and efficiency.
To make the most of this, we recommend creating a dedicated account in each platform just for BuddyBee. When BuddyBee has its own account, workflows run more reliably, security is easier to manage, and it’s always clear which actions came from BuddyBee versus a human user.

Using a TOTP Secret
Some platforms require a secret key or one-time setup code for MFA.
- When prompted, copy the secret key from the platform.
- Paste the key into BuddyBee’s MFA/Secret Key field.
- BuddyBee will then generate and handle MFA codes automatically.
💡 Always test the platform setup by starting a login through BuddyBee Chat. This confirms that credentials, MFA, and secret keys are all working before your team relies on the connection.
If the platform requires multi-factor authentication, you can also check the platform-specific MFA article for more detail.
