How to Add Multiple Lines in Form Fields

You can now enter multiple lines of text into any form field. This makes it easier to include longer details or structured information directly in the form.

How it works

• To start a new line when typing in a field, press Shift + Enter on your keyboard.

• You can also copy and paste text from another document, and the formatting will be preserved.

How will this impact the form?

• Forms with an underlying PDF (e.g. government-issued forms):
  The text inside the field will shrink automatically to fit across multiple lines.

• All other forms:
  The form will expand the field size so that all lines are visible without shrinking the text.

This gives you more flexibility to capture the right information in the way that best suits the form.
