How do I fix an error in my template?
✍️ How to Fix Errors in Templates in ADL Online
From time to time, you might see errors when generating a form using a saved template in ADL Online. This usually happens when a bug in the form has already been fixed, but your old template still holds onto the outdated version.
📸 Why Templates Can Cause Errors
Here’s what happens behind the scenes:
-
Errors may appear in forms from time to time.
-
Our team fixes the bug that is causing the error, and the live form is updated in ADL Online.
-
But… templates created before the fix may not always automatically update.
👉 The result? Even though the form has been corrected, your old template may still carry the error.
Working out if your template is carrying the error
✅ Step 1: Try Without the Template
The quickest way to check is to create the form from scratch instead of using a saved template.
If the issue disappears, then the error was caused by the outdated template.
✅ Step 2: Create a New Template
Once you know the form works properly, create a new template. This ensures you’re always working with the most up-to-date version.
✅ Step 3: Still Seeing Errors?
If the error continues even when using a new form or template:
-
Reach out to our support team.
-
Provide details of the form and template you were using.
-
We’ll investigate the issue further and help resolve it.
